Our Christmas Shop Opens on 1 December

Christmas at Murton Farm

During December we stock a variety of Christmas trees which we have been growing and selling for over 35 years. At Christmas our greenhouse is transformed to a beautiful Christmas shop, displaying a wider range of individual Christmas decorations and ornaments.

We stock only premium top quality trees. All of our trees are pre-selected for their exceptional shape and size, our range includes:-

Nordman Fir

The Nordman fir is one of the most important species grown for Christmas trees, being favoured for its attractive foliage, with needles that are not sharp and do not drop readily when the tree dries out.

Norway Spruce

The Norway Spruce Christmas Tree is probably what most people think of as the traditional tree. With its own unique scent, feel and shape these trees will remind you of a traditional Christmas. The needles are mid to dark green and a bit prickly to touch, but the strong branches make it an ideal tree to decorate.

Lodgepole Pine

An American long needled pine. Non-drop. Retains its distinctive bright green colour. Long straight stem used by native American Indians to build their wagons. Pine aroma.

Noble Fir

These needles turn upward, exposing the lower branches. Known for its beauty, the noble fir has a long keep ability, and its stiff branches make it a good tree for heavy ornaments, as well as providing excellent greenery for wreaths and garland.

Fraser Fir

The Fraser fir branches turn slightly upward. They have good form and needle-retention. They are dark blue-green in colour. They have a pleasant scent, and excellent shipping characteristics as well.

Pot Grown Norway Spruce & Nordman Firs

Why buy a Christmas tree for 3 weeks of the year when you can buy a living Christmas tree for life. They can be grown in the pot or can be transferred to the garden at any time of the year.

During the winter months our greenhouse is full with all things festive, why not come down and see for yourself all the delights of this festive season.

Its not just trees either!
